I’m new to the Quantexa Community. Where do I start?

How do I stay up to date with Events?
From the top menu ribbon, click on “Connect > Register for an Event” to access all upcoming events promoted on the Community. When clicking on a specific Event, you will see more information about it and will be able to RSVP.
Additionally, you can also see upcoming Events displayed at the bottom of the homepage and from the Topics and Groups pages, if there are upcoming Events assigned to them.
What kind of events are posted?
Events can be live webinars, in-person events, conventions, or on-demand webinars. They can be public events or created specifically for a user group. You can see all our upcoming and past events in the events portal.
How can I sign up to an event?
When you open up an event page you will see the date and time of the event followed by the option to select ‘Going’, ‘Maybe’, and ‘Not going’, if you select ‘Going’ it will open the registration page for the event.
Can I create an event?
Only Quantexa employees are able to create events, if there is an event that you would like to share or think would be relevant to the Community please contact us.
Can I change my profile name?
You cannot change your Community user name from your Profile but the Community team can do it for you. If you wish to do so, please contact us.
How do I change my profile picture?
Click on your member icon or existing picture in the top-right menu ribbon. From here select “Edit Profile”. To the right, you will see a list with a few options, click on “Change my picture” and upload your new picture.
What are tags?
Tags are like behind-the-scenes organisers, helping to categorise the Community content and making content relevant for you easier to find. For example, if content is tagged with #academy, all the pieces of content with that tag can be viewed simply by clicking the tag.
When writing a post, you can add a tag by starting to type in the “Tags” field. The available options will display. You can also see popular tags by clicking on the link beneath the field.
How can I create a new tag?
It’s important to note that tags are locked on the Quantexa Community. With the purpose of keeping consistency and structure, only the Community team can create new tags. If you would like to request a new tag, please submit it as an Idea on our Ideas Portal.
How do notifications work?
You can manage and customise your notifications settings from the Notification Preferences page.
There are two ways to access this page:
- From your Profile > Edit Profile page, click Notification Preferences.
- Click the bell icon located on the top menu ribbon and click the settings icon.
From here you can use the checkboxes to set which notifications you want to receive and how (Email, Popup, or both) for your General Community notifications as well as for those related to the Topics you follow.
- Check the Email box to have emails sent to your Community profile and your inbox for categories in which you're heavily invested or interested in.
- Check the Popup box to have a popup display directly in the Quantexa Community, at the bottom-left of the screen. These occur in near real-time.
- Clear both checkboxes for notifications that you do not want to receive.
When finished, click Save Preferences at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Additionally, you will also be prompted to manage your notifications every time you follow a Topic, by clicking on the bell icon from the Topic page.
How is Community participation rewarded?
Community members can earn points by performing certain actions like, answering questions, receiving positive reactions from their answers, unlocking achievements, etc.
The repetition of these actions can lead you to earn badges. You can see a full list of the badges available and their point value here.

How can I see my points & badges?
To see the points & badges you’ve earned, simply go to your profile page, by clicking on your picture or user icon at the top right. From here you will be able to see your points in the “About” section. If you scroll down, you will be able to see another section containing all the badges earned. If you click on the badges you, additional information will display.
I can't log in to the Community
To ensure you are following the right access route and to help you troubleshoot, please note: If you are a customer/partner who previously had access to the Documentation site or the Academy, avoid trying to sign up to Community vs. logging in. Sign up will trigger the following error message:
Solution: If you already have access to Quantexa Documentation/Academy you are already part of our Single Sign On process and can just login to Community (instead of signing up). You can do so by entering the same corporate email and password used to access other Quantexa online sites. If you don't remember your existing password, you can click on the "Forgot password?" option that will appear once you've entered your email.
