What can I find in the Release Notes section?
The Release Notes section on Quantexa Documentation includes the following information:
- Platform Release Notes: This section highlights features that have been added, updated, deprecated, or removed as part of a release, and links to the main documentation for configuring or developing new or updated features. It is suitable for Product Owners and Business Analysts, as well as technical developers. Each major Release Notes section contains the following pages:
- Major release notes page, showing a list of changes for the major release.
- Fixes page, showing a list of fixes for the major release.
- Deprecations and removals page, showing a list of deprecations and removals.
- Minor releases page, showing a list of changes and fixes for each minor release in the major.
- Platform Migration Guides: This section provides a series of pages detailing all the modifications that be must be made in a Quantexa deployment to upgrade from one platform version to another. It is suitable for developers and architects involved in the upgrade of a Quantexa deployment. Each major Migration Guides section contains the following pages:
- Migration guide page, showing how to migrate from a version in the previous major release.
- Where applicable, nested pages showing how to migrate between two minor versions in the same major release, or how to upgrade specific platform functionality.
- Quantexa BOM: This section contains the Bill of Materials (BOM) pages for each major and minor release of The Quantexa Platform.
- Legacy Release Notes: This section contains information on releases that are no longer actively supported.
- Release Notes for other areas: Some areas of The Quantexa Platform, including Parsers and QPython, have a different release approach and are typically not integrated into the standard release cycle.
- External Migrations: This section explains migration steps and issue resolution for non-product related upgrades undertaken by Project Example.
- Known Issues: This area details platform known issues and the steps you can employ to resolve them.
- Release stages: Definitions of each release stage that applies to The Quantexa Platform, as well as a summary of specific stages of components within the software.
- Key to labels: A guide to the color-coded labels used throughout the Release Notes, identifying the categories that the updates relate to.
