The Role

The Senior Data Engineer is a professional who designs, constructs, and maintains systems that collect, store, and analyse large amounts of data. They are the main contributor to project development. They design and own complex epics, working with stakeholders to garther requirements, design approach and implement. They are self directed, comfortable supporting junior team members, and can deputise for the Technical Lead.

  • Strong background grounded in data engineering
  • Proficient in Scala and Spark
  • Expertise building and deploying production-level data processing batch systems; and working with cloud environments
  • A strong technical communication ability with demonstrable experience working in rapidly changing client environments.
